As the Smart Technologies & Education Conference (STE 2026) approaches, the IAOE community is preparing not only for another year of scientific exchange, but also for a special celebration: 20 years of IAOE. To honor this milestone, STE 2026 has launched a community-wide photo competition under the name “Photo Contest to Celebrate 20 Years of IAOE” that invites attendees to share powerful visual stories of how Smart Industry and Smart Education shape the workforce of tomorrow.
The contest encourages participants to explore and reflect on the intersections of innovation, technology, and learning—the very themes that define STE and IAOE’s mission. Whether capturing the reality of today’s smart laboratories, the creativity of engineering classrooms, the dynamics of global collaboration, or imaginative visions of future learning spaces, contributors are invited to spotlight how digital transformation is reshaping education and society.
More than just a competition, the initiative aims to build a collective visual archive of the community’s work and spirit. Selected photos will be exhibited during STE 2026 in Brașov and showcased at the Festive Dinner, offering a unique opportunity to highlight artistic perspectives alongside scientific achievements. The most compelling entries will receive Special Prizes and official Certificates of Recognition awarded by IAOE and Transilvania University of Brașov (UNITBV).
Participation is open to all registered STE 2026 attendees and all IAOE members.
Submission deadline: 19 February 2026.
