International Association of Online Engineering (IAOE)

The International Association of Online Engineering (IAOE) is a global network of professionals dedicated to fostering innovation and collaboration in the fields of online engineering, remote laboratories, and virtual instrumentation. Bringing together researchers, educators, and industry leaders, the IAOE promotes the development and adoption of cutting-edge technologies to enhance engineering education and practice worldwide.

IAOE was founded by Michael E. Auer, Andreas Pester and Heimo Ressler as a non-profit association by Austrian law in 2006.

IAOE Mission

The mission of the IAOE is to advance the understanding, development, and implementation of online engineering technologies and methodologies. By supporting interdisciplinary collaboration and providing a platform for knowledge exchange, the association strives to address the challenges of modern engineering education, making it more accessible, flexible, and impactful for learners and professionals across the globe.

IAOE Activities

The IAOE actively organizes international conferences, such as the flagship International Conference on Smart Technologies & Education (STE), formerly REV conference, to share the latest research and innovations in the field.
